Be steadfast in yoga, O Arjuna. Perform your duty and abandon all attachment to success or failure. Such evenness of mind is called yoga

Those who wanted to learn yoga should read this sloka several times and understand it better before joining any yoga classes so that one would know at least what to attain through it, most of the people think  yoga means breathing exercise which can keep their body fit. Whole gyana told by the Bhagvan krishna  to arjuna is that this body is अनित्यम , अशस्वतो , but utilize this body for doing Dharma ,To know that, higher knowledge, know that नित्यं  which is seated in this body.
Hence Practice equanimity in both the situations whether you mastered some thing or you failed drastically(सिद्धि - असिद्धि ) be calm continue do your duties believing the fruits as milestones, instill faith in lord, until finally this individual consciousness(जीव ) meets universal consciousness(ब्रह्म ).

commentaries of various saints
Yoga is the science of the individual consciousness attaining communion with the Ultimate Consciousness.
Being established by this yoga perform actions relinquishing attachment, motivation for rewards and depend solely upon the mercy of the Supreme Lord in all one's activities. Totally unconcerned about success or failure, attainment or non-attainment resultant surrender in righteousness all actions as an offering unto the Supreme Lord. This is the eternal path called yoga by the wise as it consists of fixed concentration of the mind. Yoga, equanimity is the methodology encouraged. Relinquishing desire and attachment to the rewards of actions while steadfastly remaining equipoise in either success or failure. This verily is what is meant by equanimity. The meaning of the word sangam is attachment. Attachment to what? The rewards of one's fruitive actions.

Hence What should one do? Lord Krishna states here to remain balanced and equipoised. Discard the mentality of being attached. Be balanced in either victory or defeat and perform your duties.कर्माणि  refers to duties the plural usage of duties indicates various obligatory and occasional duties; Thus Yoga is explained by Lord Krishna Himself as being in the state of equanimity.

Actions performed with fruitive motivations (Intentions ) are far inferior to actions performed as a matter of duty.when the mind of those whose actions are performed as a matter of duty are not disturbed or unbalanced by delusions of rewards gained or lost. The activities performed in spiritual intelligence removes all suffering in the world and leads to liberation from the material existence. Contrarily activities performed for the acquisition of rewards assuredly results in suffering and affliction in the material existence.फल-हेत्वा Phala-hetavah are those who sole motivation is dictated be the prospects of reward. It should be understood that such living entities are krpanah or pitiable due to the fact but acting in this way they are imprisoned in the material existence unable to attain their spiritual nature.

Definition of EQUANIMITY

1:  Evenness of mind especially under stress (nothing could disturb his equanimity)
2:  Right disposition :  balance

Give up, give up, give up....I say to myself

IS IT REAL--- OR   JUST YOUR EGO?

Do you think I am going to help anybody? No! Oh, no, no, no, no, no! Don't expect me to be of help to anyone. Nor do I expect to damage anyone. If you are damaged, you did it; and if you are helped, you did it. You really did! You think people help you? They don't. You think people support you? They don't.

There was a woman in a therapy group I was conducting once. She was a religious sister. She said to me, "I don't feel supported by my superior." So I said, "What do you mean by that?" And she said, "Well, my superior, the provincial superior, never shows up at the novitiate where I am in charge, never. She never says a word of appreciation." I said to her, "All right let's do a little role playing. Pretend I know your provincial superior. In fact, pretend I know exactly what she thinks about you. So I say to you (acting the part of the provincial superior), 'You know, Mary, the reason I don't come to that place you're in is because it is the one place in the province that is trouble-free, no problems. I know you're in charge, so all is well.' How do you feel now?" She said, "I feel great." Then I said to her, "All right, would you mind leaving the room for a minute or two? This is part of the exercise." So she did. While she was away, I said to the others in the therapy group, "I am still the provincial superior, O.K.? Mary out there is the worst novice director I have ever had in the whole history of the province. In fact, the reason I don't go to the novitiate is because I can't bear to see what she is up to. It's simply awful. But if I tell her the truth, it's only going to make those novices suffer all the more. We are getting somebody to take her place in a year or two; we are training someone. In the meantime I thought I would say those nice things to her to keep her going. What do you think of that?" They answered, "Well, it was really the only thing you could do under the circumstances." Then I brought Mary back into the group and asked her if she still felt great. "Oh yes," she said. Poor Mary! She thought she was being supported when she wasn't. The point is that most of what we feel and think we conjure up for ourselves in our heads, including this business of being helped by people.

Do you think you help people because you are in love with them? Well, I've got news for you. You are never in love with anyone. You're only in love with your prejudiced and hopeful idea of that person. Take a minute to think about that: You are never in love with anyone, you're in love with your prejudiced idea of that person. Isn't that how you fall out of love? Your idea changes, doesn't it? "How could you let me down when I trusted you so much?" you say to someone. Did you really trust them? You never trusted anyone. Come off it! That's part of society's brainwashing. You never trust anyone. You only trust your judgment about that person. So what are you complaining about? The fact is that you don't like to say, "My judgment was lousy." That's not very flattering to you, is it? So you prefer to say, "How could you have let me down?"

So there it is: People don't really want to grow up, people don't really want to change, people don't really want to be happy. As someone so wisely said to me, "Don't try to make them happy, you'll only get in trouble. Don't try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it irritates the pig." Like the businessman who goes into a bar, sits down, and sees this fellow with a banana in his ear - a banana in his ear! And he thinks, "I wonder if I should mention that to him. No, it's none of my business." But the thought nags at him. So after having a drink or two, he says to the fellow, "Excuse me, ah, you've got a banana in your ear." The fellow says, "What?" The businessman repeats, "You've got a banana in your ear. " Again the fellow says, "What was that?" "You've got a banana in your ear!" the businessman shouts. "Talk louder," the fellow says, "I've got a banana in my ear!"

So it's useless. "Give up, give up, give up," I say to myself. Say your thing and get out of here. And if they profit, that's fine, and if they don't, too bad!

tamah, wasto, tumpak

When you study religious or spiritual teachings, there are different levels of truth. If you take the teachings literally... That is Tama. When you try to understand the inner teachings that is wasto, when you go to the deepest level that is tumpak.I( In philipines truth is divided into 3 stages lower tama, than wasto milldle and than higher Tumpak)
Many teachings are symbolic; if you are talking to a 3 year old , you will him stories , the people living thousands of years ago are like children today, Even though there were adults, their minds were like that of little children, the teachers could only teach their through stories.
There is an inner teaching and an outer teaching, the inner teaching is given to disciples who are mere intelligent and spiritually more mature. According to st Paul, to those who are more mature more will be revealed, it is the same in the Hindu tradition, to those who are spiritually more mature, more will be revealed.
In Christianity it is said “ Do not throw sacred teachings and practices to young souls who do not have the intellectual capacity to understand the spiritual teachings.
Dogs are nice animals, you can play with them and they will lick your face; they love, all you have to do is give them food and water, take them for a walk and they will be even more loving. They are not very expensive to look after and they do not  talk!
Dogs are nice!, but they are not very smart, you cannot teach them mathematics or how to use the internet.
What Lord Jesus meant was do not throw the sacred teachings to people who are not very smart, even though they are very loving, the though they are devotional and good, they cannot understand the higher teachings.
That is the qualities of a lot of people, they are nice, they have good hearts, but you cannot teach them much, People who are not sufficiently intelligent cannot be taught the inner teachings, you can teach them japa and bhajans you can teach them bhakti yoga. Through bhakti yoga they can evolve, but the inner teachings cannot be given them because they get confused.
There is also a saying “Do Not throw pearls to swine” it means do not throw pearls of wisdom, the pearls of priceless teachings to pigs.
What do pigs symbolize? Pigs bite, they can be violent, especially during mating season, swine or pings symbolize people with unregulated emotions or unregulated desires; they represent people who are enslaved by their lower nature. The lower nature consists of the instincts, the lower emotions and thoughts.
You cannot teach such people, the higher teachings, that are why you need purification and character building that is why the Rishis or avatars did not reveal the higher teachings to the public because they cannot understand them. The teachings cannot be given to them, so they are told stories instead.
When you look at the lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva, you must understand that you are only looking at a painting that symbolizes them. It is not really them; you have to go beyond the form. If a person cannot go beyond the form, the heart chakra will be activated but the crown chakra will not be activated. They have love for the figure or the form but not towards God. If you study the Indian deities, the teachings are contained in paintings.
Even when you chant bhajans for your Guru you have to chant in the proper way. Remember that you are chanting to the spiritual Guru, not the physical body of the Guru, you are chanting to the great spiritual soul that occupies the physical body of that Guru. The physical body is not the Guru. It is the great soul that occupies the physical body that is real Guru. When you understand this concept, Your bhajans will becomes powerful.

This is calling of SADGURU,

 Attempted Translation of above

Getting human body itself is rare event according to Hindu scriptures, God's manifestation into human body is rarest, now if we that living God does the satsang it becomes rarest of rare, that place itself converts into purest form that whosoever enter into the territory they will also become purest of pure.

Now if this jeeva founds such place this cannot be said as coincidence its Grace of God himself, this is calling of Sadguru, its blessing in form of selection of that jeeva to do his well being of self or welfare of self.
This choosen day of manifestation of well being and also,am blessed with such a sound of word from Sadguru which runs through me, Let me walk in the shade of that sound manifestation continuously such blessings i seek, that is Meaning for me of 1 st march walk on the path perpetually.

The biggest threat for the path walker is his own mind, himself don't know to which place it can drag him nobody can tell, a poet describes his poem on a podium like in this way that, an ant ascend the hill, an ant ascend the hill , an ant ascend the hill, impatient listen shouts, now common let us know what happened next the poet says it has descended. And this is the way we live, we go on high some day, than we find so low another day, Mind is biggest conman, to tame is the toughest task, what master told you,  first let know masters words Rightly , until we apply them rightly, until we purify the mind , the jeeva keeps on destroyed by demonic mind repeatedly with his changing faces.

There cant be biggest savior than sadguru (Messenger of God is visible, living God himself), He is the captain of ship, he is the ship, what we have to do, just we need to surrender, and sit quietly and travel along with him.
saying this bhajan of Guru Nanak

Note : attempted translation of meaning - mistakes can be found
I seek refugee in you, i seek refugee in you
all my doubts vanished when met you (see you)
am not able to describe my distress(for meeting) but you gave me your name to soothe me
than suffering just goes like that and happiness run through me,I just go singing with bliss
you pulled me out by dragging the hand out , saved me from the Dark well of maya.
this nanak who says that the  day when I met you all the bondage of suffering come end, one I become one with you as old lovers meet again.

You became something and you suffered...

It happened to me to read the great sufi poet Bulleh_Shah is a great humanist, and a saint, though when he was alive, hardly followed him or regarded, the person when reach to higher realm of consciousness, he become non dual, and he sees the world as one, beyond, the geographies of the world, beyond every thing, in him is Allah and allah is him, they become one and the same.
A beautiful life incident which teach a great lesson is here as under-
(source : poetry bullahn)

Saturated with the love of God, Bullah became the personification of compassion and forgiveness. He began to see the divine in every being, and distinctions of caste and religion, friend and foe, ceased to have any meaning for him. The following incident of his life illustrates this sublime state of his mind in a beautiful way:

It is said I that "once Bulleh Shah was engaged in meditation inside his chamber. It was the month of Ramzan. Some of his disciples were sitting outside eating carrots. After some time a group of orthodox Muslims who were keeping the fast happened to pass them. When they saw the disciples sitting at a faqir's abode and violating the fast, they were enraged. " They shouted in an angry voice, " Are you not ashamed of eating in the month of Ramzan, and that also at the abode of a faqir?" The disciples replied, "Brother believers, take your path. We are feeling hungry. That is why we are eating. "

The group of believers felt suspicious about their faith. So they asked, "Who are you?" They replied, "We are Muslims. Don't the Muslims feel hungry?". The believers again commanded them to stop eating, but the disciples did not heed. The believers who were on horses, alighted. They snatched the carrots from the hands of the disciples, and threw them away. They also gave a few blows to them. As they were about to leave, it struck them that the pir of these impious people must have been cast in the same mould. So they turned back to ask him what kind of instruction he had given to his disciples. They went to his chamber and said, "Who are you?" Bullah who was meditating with his eyes closed, raised his arms and moved his hands. They asked him again, "Why don't you speak? Who are you?" Bullah once again raised his arms. The riders taking him to be a mad man, went away. Soon after they left, the disciples entered the chamber, raising a hue and cry that they had been beaten. Bullah told them that they must have done something to provoke the believers. The disciples denied to have done any such thing. Bullah said, "What did they ask you?" The disciples replied, "They asked us who we were, and we said we were Muslims." Bullah retorted, "That's why you were beaten. You became something and you suffered. I didn't become anything, and they said nothing to me."
To consider oneself something emanates from the sense of ego. Such a person is still under the sway of maya, and has not had a vision of Truth so far. One who has had such a vision comes to know his true Self and gets liberated from the bondage of caste, religion and country. There are numerous instances in the poems of Bulleh Shah, which show that the soul, like the Lord, has no religion, no caste, no country. All these distinctions are born out of time and space, but the soul is unborn and timeless. It has neither a beginning, nor an end, nor is it bound by the limitations of caste and religion. Bullah recognizes only the primeval relationship of soul with God :

Remove duality and do away with all disputes;
The Hindus and Muslims are not other than He.
Deem everyone virtuous, there are no thieves.
For, within every body He himself resides.
How the Trickster has put on a mask!

A Yogi's own house is "AWARENESS"

.............................................गुरूजी

Tranquil and calm mind Cultivates strength with in us.

When we are trapped in worldly affairs, than
1) Get blindfold even if we have eyes.
2) Get deaf even though you have ears.
3) Even though we know how to talk become dumb.
4) Even though we are powerful show no power.
5) Just simply become powerless as if we are dead or sleeping.
But when we are listening to sermon never ever leave  your Awareness. means we should keep ourselves Awakened makes us AWAKE. Awake to REAL SELF.

To practice-
conclusion is - switch off the conscious mind to all disturbing thoughts and emotions which raise in the mind, as well as the taunts coming from outside. but just keep fully awaken to the introspection, and while listening to the learned people with wisdom.
